Kids Eat Free (and save you work!)
As I mentioned yesterday, I go for wherever I can get kids-eat-free (or cheap) when my husband’s out of town. If I’m particularly good I can feed all four of us for under $10 (thankfully my kids aren’t picky and will eat just about anything, including greasy food at chain restaurants that we would ordinarily avoid). Honestly, if I went to the store to pick food up to make dinner I’d spend more than that, and the experience eats up so much time that it’s totally worth it. So here’s the list I keep, and you can check out Coupon Divas (national only) and My Kids Eat Free (last includes local restaurants) for more ideas! (p.s. you might want to call ahead, since some places have limitations like only one free meal per adult)

At O’Charlys kids eat free every day.
In TX, Double Dave’s Pizza has kids eat free on Tuesday night, but you still have to pay for the drink or get water.
Logan’s Roadhouse does $2 kid meals Mon-Wed (I’m in Indiana, but I imagine it is company wide)
Awesome list!! Thank you. My husband is a musician and he is gone alot. It’s usually just my 2.5 yr old and me for dinner. It’s a pain to cook for just myself and she is super picky. This list could come in handy!

Great ideas, I’ll check and see if we have those around here! I totally wish that Chili’s had a free night for kids–I don’t love their food, but they have such great choices for kids!
My oldest and I ate at Sweet Tomatoes a lot when she was about 2.5. It’s a salad bar with bread, pasta, and soup (plus dessert, as she would quickly remind you!) and it has a lot of great choices for kids!

What a great list, but it is incorrect for Old Chicago. No Old Chicago restaurant in the Denver Metro area does Kids Eat Free. Hoping you could update your list to reflect this.

Thanks for this list and for the previous tips on keeping sanity when hubby is away. I totally need this! My hubby is on his 2nd trip to China in a month, and will go on one more before Christmas– losing my sanity slowly. I have 4 kids and I look forward to implementing some of your suggestions!
